HomeMy Public PortalAbout14890 Althea - Aster Storm Sewer (11364)ORDINANCE NO. 14890 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($680,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Althea – Aster Storm Sewer (11364) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21655 with J.M. Marschuetz Construction for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Four Hundred Fifty- Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Three and 25/100 Dollars ($457,903.25) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand Ninety-Six and 75/100 Dollars ($222,096.75); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($680,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek for storm sewer construction in Althea – Aster Storm Sewer (11364) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21655 with J.M. Marschuetz Construction, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer construction in Althea – Aster Storm Sewer (11364) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 13th day of March, 2018. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing ordinance was adopted on May 10, 2018.
