AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventy-Two Thousand Dollars ($72,000.00)
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and Fifty-Three Thousand Dollars ($53,000.00) from the
Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for private
I/I removal and storm sewer construction in Cedarcrest Private I/I Reduction (SKME-561) Part 3
(11884) in the Cities of Ladue and Olivette, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
Contract No. 21661 with Gaehle Grading, LLC for the aforesaid private I/I removal and storm
sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal and storm sewer construction is
Ninety-Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-Two Dollars ($99,992.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-Five Thousand Eight Dollars
($25,008.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventy-Two Thousand Dollars ($72,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and the sum of Fifty-Three Thousand Dollars
($53,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction,
Improvement Fund of Deer Creek for private I/I removal and storm sewer construction in
Cedarcrest Private I/I Reduction (SKME-561) Part 3 (11884) in the Cities of Ladue and Olivette,
Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by
the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21661 with Gaehle Grading, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I removal
and storm sewer construction in Cedarcrest Private I/I Reduction (SKME-561) Part 3 (11884) in
the Cities of Ladue and Olivette, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 3rd day of April,
2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on June 14, 2018.
