AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($3,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars
($700,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in CSO – McKnight
Road #2737 CSO Interceptor (I-298)/Outfall (L-161) (10851) in the Cities of Ladue and Rock
Hill, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21662 with Bates Utility
Company, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal is
Three Million Four Hundred Thirty-Four Thousand Five Hundred Seventy Dollars
($3,434,570.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
Eight Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand Four Hundred Thirty Dollars ($865,430.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($3,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and the sum of
Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($700,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of Deer Creek for sanitary sewer construction
and private I/I removal in CSO – McKnight Road #2737 CSO Interceptor (I-298)/Outfall (L-
161) (10851) in the Cities of Ladue and Rock Hill, Missouri; said contract being comprised of
such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the
District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21662 with Bates Utility Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction and private I/I removal in CSO – McKnight Road #2737 CSO Interceptor (I-
298)/Outfall (L-161) (10851) in the Cities of Ladue and Rock Hill, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received on the 5th day of April, 2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on June 14, 2018.
