AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Five Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($1,550,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of
Meramec River Basin Subd #449 and One Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($190,000.00)
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction in Fenton
WWTF Levee Improvements (12832) in the City of Fenton, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 21663 with L. Keeley Construction Company for the aforesaid
sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is One Million Six
Hundred Eleven Thousand Three Hundred Thirty and 80/100 Dollars ($1,611,330.80) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Twenty-
Eight Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Nine and 20/100 Dollars ($128,669.20); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,550,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction,
Improvement Fund of Meramec River Basin Subd #449 and the sum of One Hundred Ninety
Thousand Dollars ($190,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for
sanitary sewer construction in Fenton WWTF Levee Improvements (12832) in the City of
Fenton, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21663 with L. Keeley Construction Company, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary
sewer construction in Fenton WWTF Levee Improvements (12832) in the City of Fenton,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 20th day of April, 2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on June 14, 2018.
