AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Two Million Dollars
($2,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for combined sewer
construction in Mississippi Floodwall ORS Pump Stations Rehabilitation (12483) in the City of
St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21666 with Alberici
Constructors Inc. for combined sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the price proposal for said combined sewer construction is Five
Million Nine Hundred Thirteen Thousand Dollars ($5,913,000.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Eighty-Seven Thousand
Dollars ($287,000.00);
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation request is planned for Fiscal Year 2019
(FY2019) for a total appropriation amount of Six Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
($6,200,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for combined sewer construction in
Mississippi Floodwall ORS Pump Stations Rehabilitation (12483) in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by
the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No.
21666 with Alberici Constructors Inc., as the lowest responsible proposer for combined sewer
construction in Mississippi Floodwall ORS Pump Stations Rehabilitation (12483) in the City of
St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to proposals received on the 27th day of March, 2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on June 14, 2018.
