AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Seventy Thousand
Dollars ($70,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of
Sugar Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Rosewood Lane & Woodard Dr. Storm
Sewer (10347) in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to amend Contract
No. 21626 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14847, adopted January 11, 2018, appropriated the
initial funding for and authorized Contract No. 21626; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek
for storm sewer construction in Rosewood Lane & Woodard Dr. Storm Sewer (10347) in the
City of Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to amend Contract No. 21626
with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for storm sewer construction in Rosewood Lane & Woodard
Dr. Storm Sewer (10347) in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; said contract being comprised of
such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the
District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on August 16, 2018.
