AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Charles L.
Crane Agency, whereby Charles L. Crane Agency will serve as the District’s broker of record
and provide other services for the District’s insurance program.
WHEREAS, the staff has received and evaluated proposals from insurance
brokerage firms to act as the District’s broker of records and to provide other services for the
District’s insurance program; and
WHEREAS, based on the Request for Proposal process, the staff has
recommended the selection of Charles L. Crane Agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Charles L. Crane Agency, whereby Charles L. Crane Agency will serve as the District’s broker
of record and provide other services for the District’s insurance program.
Section Two. The contract authorized in Section One of this ordinance shall
provide for a term of one (1) year, effective September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2019, with
four (4) additional one-year renewal terms at the option of the District, at fees not to exceed
Seventy-Two Thousand Dollars ($72,000.00) per year, and shall be comprised of such other
terms and conditions as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on August 16, 2018.
