AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars
($470,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction
and private I/I removal in Adams I/I Reduction (Southeast of I-270 and Dougherty Ferry Rd)
(12073) in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21681 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer
construction and private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal is
Three Hundred Ninety-Three Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars ($393,832.00) and
the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seventy-Six
Thousand One Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars ($76,168.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($470,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction and
private I/I removal in Adams I/I Reduction (Southeast of I-270 and Dougherty Ferry Rd) (12073)
in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as
have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21681 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for
sanitary sewer construction and private I/I removal in Adams I/I Reduction (Southeast of I-270
and Dougherty Ferry Rd) (12073) in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
on the 10th day of July, 2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance has been adopted on September 13, 2018.
