AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars
($440,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction in
Webster Groves Trunk E Sanitary Rehabilitation and I/I Reduction Phase III (11677) in the City
of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21685 with L.
Keeley Construction Company for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Three Hundred
Eighty-Seven Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-Four and 57/100 Dollars ($387,434.57) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Fifty-Two Thousand Five
Hundred Sixty-Five and 43/100 Dollars ($52,565.43); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($440,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction in
Webster Groves Trunk E Sanitary Rehabilitation and I/I Reduction Phase III (11677) in the City
of Webster Groves, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as
have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21685 with L. Keeley Construction Company, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary
sewer construction in Webster Groves Trunk E Sanitary Rehabilitation and I/I Reduction Phase
III (11677) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 18th day of
July, 2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance has been adopted on September 13, 2018.
