AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million One Hundred Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($1,120,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal
and storm sewer construction in Coldwater Southwest Subwatershed I/I Reduction (St. Charles
Rock Rd and Ashby Rd) (12125) in the Cities of St. Ann, Bridgeton, Overland, Edmundson, and
Breckenridge Hills, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21693 with Fred
M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal and storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal and storm sewer construction is
Nine Hundred Sixty-Seven Thousand Six Hundred Forty-Eight and 60/100 Dollars
($967,648.60) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
One Hundred Fifty-Two Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-One and 40/100 Dollars ($152,351.40);
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million One Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars
($1,120,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in Coldwater Southwest Subwatershed I/I Reduction (St.
Charles Rock Rd and Ashby Rd) (12125) in the Cities of St. Ann, Bridgeton, Overland,
Edmundson, and Breckenridge Hills, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and
conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21693 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in Coldwater Southwest Subwatershed I/I Reduction (St.
Charles Rock Rd and Ashby Rd) (12125) in the Cities of St. Ann, Bridgeton, Overland,
Edmundson, and Breckenridge Hills, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 15th day of
August, 2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted ton October 11, 2018.
