AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,700,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
($200,000.00) from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction
in Dammert and Broadway Sanitary Relief (SKME-551) Part 2 (11155) in the City of St. Louis
and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21695 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Four Million Four
Hundred Twenty-Eight Thousand Six Hundred Thirty Dollars ($4,428,630.00) and the allowance
for construction change orders and other project expenses is Four Hundred Seventy-One
Thousand Three Hundred Seventy Dollars ($471,370.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,700,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and the sum of
Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Districtwide
Stormwater Fund for sanitary sewer construction in Dammert and Broadway Sanitary Relief
(SKME-551) Part 2 (11155) in the City of St. Louis and Unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by
the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21695 with Bates Utility Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction in Dammert and Broadway Sanitary Relief (SKME-551) Part 2 (11155) in the City
of St. Louis and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the
21st day of August, 2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted ton October 11, 2018.
