AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars
($475,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of Sugar
Creek to be used for storm sewer construction in Corona Park Storm Sewer Phase 2B (10210) in
the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21692 with L.
Keeley Construction Company for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Three Hundred Seventy-
Five Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-Five Dollars ($375,385.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Ninety-Nine Thousand Six Hundred
Fifteen Dollars ($99,615.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars
($475,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction,
Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek for storm sewer construction in Corona Park Storm Sewer
Phase 2B (10210) in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such
terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21692 with L. Keeley Construction Company, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm
sewer construction in Corona Park Storm Sewer Phase 2B (10210) in the City of Kirkwood,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 14th day of August, 2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted ton October 11, 2018.
