AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars ($35,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek to be used
for storm sewer construction in Dickens Avenue #470 Storm Sewer (11299) in the City of
Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21686 with Gaehle
Grading, LLC for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Twenty-Two Thousand
Five Hundred Ninety-Five Dollars ($22,595.00) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Twelve Thousand Four Hundred Five Dollars ($12,405.00);
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars ($35,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, Improvement Fund of Sugar Creek
for storm sewer construction in Dickens Avenue #470 Storm Sewer (11299) in the City of
Kirkwood, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21686 with Gaehle Grading, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction in Dickens Avenue #470 Storm Sewer (11299) in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 25th day of July, 2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted ton October 11, 2018.
