AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Eighteen Million Dollars
($18,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction
in Gravois Trunk Sanitary Storage Facility (Pardee Ln and Pardee Rd) (12569) in the City of
Crestwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21701 with Plocher
Construction Company, Inc. for sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Twenty-Three Million
Eight Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($23,890,000.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is One Million Two Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars
($1,210,000.00);
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation request is planned for Fiscal Year 2020
(FY2020) for a total appropriation amount of Twenty-Five Million One Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($25,100,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eighteen Million Dollars ($18,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction in Gravois
Trunk Sanitary Storage Facility (Pardee Ln and Pardee Rd) (12569) in the City of Crestwood,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No.
21701 with Plocher Construction Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary
sewer construction in Gravois Trunk Sanitary Storage Facility (Pardee Ln and Pardee Rd)
(12569) in the City of Crestwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 27th day of
September, 2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on December 13, 2018.
