AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Seventy-Five
Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00) from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund to be used for general
geotechnical services in General Services Agreement – Geotechnical (2018) Contract A (12388)
in Various Locations within the District; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Amendment No. 1
to Contract No. 21616 with Reitz & Jens Inc. for the aforesaid general geotechnical services.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14815, adopted November 9, 2017, appropriated the
initial funding for and authorized Contract No. 21616; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for general geotechnical services in General
Services Agreement – Geotechnical (2018) Contract A (12388) in Various Locations within the
District; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by
the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Amendment No.
1 to Contract No. 21616 with Reitz & Jens Inc., for general geotechnical services in General
Services Agreement – Geotechnical (2018) Contract A (12388) in Various Locations within the
District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on December 13, 2018.
