AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars
($410,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for wastewater treatment plant
construction in Lemay WWTF Redundant Water Service (12721) in Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21673 with Unnerstall
Contracting Co., LLC for the aforesaid wastewater treatment plant construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said wastewater treatment plant construction is Three
Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty-Three Dollars ($388,923.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-One Thousand
Seventy-Seven Dollars ($21,077.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($410,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for wastewater treatment plant
construction in Lemay WWTF Redundant Water Service (12721) in Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21673 with Unnerstall Contracting Co., LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for
wastewater treatment plant construction in Lemay WWTF Redundant Water Service (12721) in
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 8th day of
November, 2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing Ordinance was adopted on January 10, 2019.
