AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($350,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal and storm
sewer construction in Valcour and Burlington RR Sanitary Relief and I/I Reduction (Valcour Rd
and Watson Rd) (12253) in the Cities of Marlborough and Webster Groves and Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21740 with J. H.
Berra Construction Co., Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal and storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal and storm sewer construction is
Two Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand One Hundred Ninety-Eight Dollars ($285,198.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Sixty-Four Thousand
Eight Hundred Two Dollars ($64,802.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for private I/I removal and storm
sewer construction in Valcour and Burlington RR Sanitary Relief and I/I Reduction (Valcour Rd
and Watson Rd) (12253) in the Cities of Marlborough and Webster Groves and Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have
been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No.
21740 with J. H. Berra Construction Co., Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal and storm sewer construction in Valcour and Burlington RR Sanitary Relief and I/I
Reduction (Valcour Rd and Watson Rd) (12253) in the Cities of Marlborough and Webster
Groves and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 16th
day of November, 2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing Ordinance was adopted on January 10, 2019.
