AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Nine Million Dollars
($9,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sewer rehabilitation in
Caulks Creek Forcemain Rehabilitation (11789) in the Cities of Chesterfield and Maryland
Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21703 with Insituform
Technologies USA, LLC for sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sewer rehabilitation is Fourteen Million Seventy-
Seven Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-Two and 70/100 Dollars ($14,077,562.70) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Five Hundred Twenty-
Two Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-Seven and 30/100 Dollars ($522,437.30);
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation request is planned for Fiscal Year 2020
(FY2020) for a total appropriation amount of Fourteen Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($14,600,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nine Million Dollars ($9,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sewer rehabilitation in Caulks Creek
Forcemain Rehabilitation (11789) in the Cities of Chesterfield and Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No.
21703 with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sewer
rehabilitation in Caulks Creek Forcemain Rehabilitation (11789) in the Cities of Chesterfield and
Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 30th day of November, 2018.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 14, 2019.
