HomeMy Public PortalAbout15116 Clara 523 Combined Sewer Improvement (12836)ORDINANCE NO. 15116 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($475,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for combined sewer construction in Clara 523 Combined Sewer Improvement (12836) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21763 with J. H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. for the aforesaid combined sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said combined sewer construction is Three Hundred Ninety-Six Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($396,900.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seventy-Eight Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($78,100.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($475,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for combined sewer construction in Clara 523 Combined Sewer Improvement (12836) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21763 with J. H. Berra Construction Co., Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for combined sewer construction in Clara 523 Combined Sewer Improvement (12836) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 24th day of January, 2019. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 14, 2019.
