AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for pump station improvements
in Lemay 1 Pump Station (P-301) Sluice Gate Replacement (13041) in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21755 with KCI Construction
Company for the aforesaid pump station improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for said pump station improvements is Two Million Three
Hundred Fifty-Eight Thousand Dollars ($2,358,000.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Forty-Two Thousand Dollars
($242,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($2,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for pump station
improvements in Lemay 1 Pump Station (P-301) Sluice Gate Replacement (13041) in the City of
St. Louis, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21755 with KCI Construction Company, as the lowest responsible bidder for pump station
improvements in Lemay 1 Pump Station (P-301) Sluice Gate Replacement (13041) in the City of
St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 17th day of January, 2019.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 14, 2019.
