AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($1,850,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for storm sewer
construction in Olive/Washington – Grand to Vandeventer Combined Sewer Relief (12702) in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21760 with
Unnerstall Contracting Co., LLC, Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is One Million Four
Hundred Four Thousand Forty-Seven Dollars ($1,404,047.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Four Hundred Forty-Five Thousand Nine Hundred
Fifty-Three Dollars ($445,953.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,850,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for storm sewer
construction in Olive/Washington – Grand to Vandeventer Combined Sewer Relief (12702) in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as
have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21760 with Unnerstall Contracting Co., LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm
sewer construction in Olive/Washington – Grand to Vandeventer Combined Sewer Relief
(12702) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 25th day of January,
2019.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 14, 2019.
