HomeMy Public PortalAbout15144 Jennings Station Road North Baden Basin (11142)ORDINANCE NO. 15144 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($3,750,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for storm sewer construction in Jennings Station Road/North Baden Basin (11142) in the Cities of Flordell Hills and Jennings, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21775 with J. H. Berra Construction Co., Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Three Million Four Hundred Eighty-Two Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-Three Dollars ($3,482,293.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Sixty- Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Seven Dollars ($267,707.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($3,750,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for storm sewer construction in Jennings Station Road/North Baden Basin (11142) in the Cities of Flordell Hills and Jennings, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21775 with J. H. Berra Construction Co., Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer construction in Jennings Station Road/North Baden Basin (11142) in the Cities of Flordell Hills and Jennings, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 14th day of March, 2019. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. This foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 9, 2019.
