AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,800,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction
in Gravois Trunk (Whitecliff to RDP) Sanitary Relocation Phase VI (Buckley Rd to Union Rd)
(11766) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
Contract No. 21777 with Kolb Grading, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is One Million Six
Hundred Sixty-Seven Thousand Forty-Seven and 60/100 Dollars ($1,667,047.60) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Thirty-Two
Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-Two and 40/100 Dollars ($132,952.40); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,800,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
construction in Gravois Trunk (Whitecliff to RDP) Sanitary Relocation Phase VI (Buckley Rd to
Union Rd) (11766) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; said contract being comprised
of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the
District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21777 with Kolb Grading, LLC, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction in Gravois Trunk (Whitecliff to RDP) Sanitary Relocation Phase VI (Buckley Rd to
Union Rd) (11766) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on
the 19th day of March, 2019.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
