AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Forty-Five Thousand Dollars
($145,000.00) from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund to be used for storm sewer construction in
Marmont Court #339 Storm Sewer (11489) in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 21770 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid
storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is One Hundred Thirteen
Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-Eight Dollars ($113,328.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Thirty-One Thousand Six Hundred
Seventy-Two Dollars ($31,672.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Forty-Five Thousand Dollars
($145,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund for storm sewer
construction in Marmont Court #339 Storm Sewer (11489) in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri;
said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office
of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21770 with Bates Utility Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction in Marmont Court #339 Storm Sewer (11489) in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 6th day of March, 2019.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing Ordinance was adopted on May 9, 2019.
