HomeMy Public PortalAbout15151 FY19 Rate Commission Supplemental Appropriation 03212019ORDINANCE NO. 15151 AN ORDINANCE, amending Ordinance 14920, as adopted June 14, 2018, by repealing Section Two, and enacting in lieu thereof a new Section 2, pertaining to an additional appropriation of Twenty-Six Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($26,100.00) from the General Fund to be used for public outreach by the Rate Commission relating to the District’s 2019 Rate Change Proposal thereby increasing previously authorized FY19 expense appropriations in the General Fund from One Hundred Sixty-Six Million Six Hundred Ninety-Eight Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($166,698,345.00) to One Hundred Sixty-Six Million Seven Hundred Twenty-Four Thousand Four Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($166,724,445.00) and increasing total District budget appropriations from Three Hundred Thirty-Two Million Five Hundred Forty-Six Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-Seven Dollars ($332,546,567.00) to Three Hundred Thirty-Two Million Five Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Seven Dollars ($332,572,667.00). WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14920 appropriated the initial funding for expenses related to the District’s 2019 Rate Commission activities; and WHEREAS, On March 4, 2019, the Rate Commission requested their budget for public outreach relating to the District’s 2019 Wastewater Rate Change Proposal be increased by Twenty-Six Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($26,100.00). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT that: Section One. Section Two of Ordinance No. 14920, as adopted June 14, 2018, is hereby repealed. Section Two. The Rate Commission’s request for an additional Twenty-Six Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($26,100.00) is approved. Section Three. An additional Twenty-Six Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($26,100.00) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund for public outreach expenses related to the Wastewater Rate Change Proposal dated March 4, 2019. Section Four. The District is authorized to increase its FY19 budget appropriations from Three Hundred Thirty-Two Million Five Hundred Forty-Six Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-Seven Dollars ($332,546,567.00) as previously authorized by Ordinance 14920 to Three Hundred Thirty-Two Million Five Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand Six Hundred Sixty- Seven Dollars ($332,572,667.00). Section Five. Section Two of this Ordinance will read: “Section Two – General Fund. There is hereby transferred from the Wastewater Revenue Fund the sum of One Hundred Fifty-Two Million Eighty- Seven Thousand Five Hundred Seven Dollars ($152,087,507.00). There is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the General Fund of the District the sum of One Hundred Sixty-Six Million Seven Hundred Twenty-Four Thousand Four Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($166,724,445.00) for the support, operation and maintenance of several departments, Board, Civil Service Commission, Rate Commission and other lawful activities of the District.” The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on April 11, 2019.
