AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Three Million Three Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($3,300,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary
sewer construction in Riverside and Yarnell Sanitary Relief Replacement (12840) in the City of
Fenton, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21793 with Unnerstall
Contracting Co., LLC for sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Seven Million Three
Hundred Seventy-Nine Thousand Two Hundred Eighty Dollars ($7,379,280.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Twenty
Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty Dollars ($320,720.00);
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation request is planned for Fiscal Year 2020
(FY2020) for a total appropriation amount of Seven Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars
($7,700,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
($3,300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
construction in Riverside and Yarnell Sanitary Relief Replacement (12840) in the City of Fenton,
Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by
the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No.
21793 with Unnerstall Contracting Co., LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction in Riverside and Yarnell Sanitary Relief Replacement (12840) in the City of Fenton,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 12th day of April, 2019.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 13, 2019.
