AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars
($125,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction in
Forder Sanitary Interconnection (Forder Rd to Ringer Rd) (12180) in Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21787 with J. H. Berra
Construction Co., Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is One Hundred Nine
Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty Dollars ($109,720.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Fifteen Thousand Two Hundred Eighty Dollars
($15,280.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars
($125,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
construction in Forder Sanitary Interconnection (Forder Rd to Ringer Rd) (12180) in
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and
conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21787 with J. H. Berra Construction Co., Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary
sewer construction in Forder Sanitary Interconnection (Forder Rd to Ringer Rd) (12180) in
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 3rd day of April,
2019.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 13, 2019.
