AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars
($270,000.00) from the District-wide Stormwater Fund to be used for storm sewer construction
in Glenn Drive #128 Storm Sewer (11426) in the City of Ballwin, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 21790 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC for the
aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Two Hundred Twenty-
Six Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty Dollars ($226,850.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Forty-Three Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars
($43,150.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($270,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the District-wide Stormwater Fund for channel stabilization in storm
sewer construction in Glenn Drive #128 Storm Sewer (11426) in the City of Ballwin, Missouri;
said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office
of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21790 with Above and Below Contracting, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm
sewer construction in Glenn Drive #128 Storm Sewer (11426) in the City of Ballwin, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 9th day of April, 2019.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
This foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 13, 2019.
