AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars
($310,000.00) from the District-wide Stormwater Fund to be used for storm sewer construction
in Beldon Drive Storm Sewer (11501) in the City of Flordell Hills, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 21800 with Aztec Construction Specialties LLC for the
aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Two Hundred Sixty-
Seven Thousand Sixty-Nine Dollars ($267,069.00) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Forty-Two Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty-One Dollars
($42,931.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($310,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the District-wide Stormwater Fund for storm sewer construction in
Beldon Drive Storm Sewer (11501) in the City of Flordell Hills, Missouri; said contract being
comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General
Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21800 with Aztec Construction Specialties LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm
sewer construction in Beldon Drive Storm Sewer (11501) in the City of Flordell Hills, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 2nd day of May, 2019.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on July 11, 2019.
