AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Three Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for design of
floodwall in Grand Glaize WWTF Floodwall Protection (13072) in the City of Valley Park and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 21717 with Reitz & Jens Inc. for design of floodwall.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 15024, adopted October 11, 2018, appropriated the
initial funding for and authorized Contract No. 21717; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for design of floodwall in
Grand Glaize WWTF Floodwall Protection (13072) in the City of Valley Park and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Amendment No.
1 to Contract No. 21717 with Reitz & Jens Inc. for design of floodwall in Grand Glaize WWTF
Floodwall Protection (13072) in the City of Valley Park and Unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri; and said contract shall be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on September 12, 2019.
