AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Five Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) from the General Fund for stream flow monitoring in Stream
Flow Gauge Operation and Maintenance (USGS) (10766) in the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District Service Area; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into an agreement with the U.S. Geological
Survey for the aforesaid stream flow monitoring.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14216, adopted September 10, 2015, appropriated the
initial funding for and authorized Contract No. 10422; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the General Fund for stream flow monitoring in Stream Flow Gauge
Operation and Maintenance (USGS) (10766) in the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
Service Area; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved
by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into an agreement
with the U.S. Geological Survey for stream flow monitoring in Stream Flow Gauge Operation
and Maintenance (USGS) (10766) in the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District Service Area.
Section Three. This Ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on September 12, 2019.
