AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Eight Hundred Sixty Thousand
Dollars ($2,860,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Creve Coeur Creek Public I/I Reduction South (12432) in the Cities of
Chesterfield, Creve Coeur, and Town and Country, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into Contract No. 21803 with SAK Construction LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer
rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Two Million Seven
Hundred Seventy-Seven Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars ($2,777,377.00) and
the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Eighty-Two
Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-Three Dollars ($82,623.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Eight Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars
($2,860,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Creve Coeur Creek Public I/I Reduction South (12432) in the Cities of
Chesterfield, Creve Coeur, and Town and Country, Missouri; said contract being comprised of
such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the
District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21803 with SAK Construction LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Creve Coeur Creek Public I/I Reduction South (12432) in the Cities of
Chesterfield, Creve Coeur, and Town and Country, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the
25th day of June, 2019.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on September 12, 2019.
