AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nine Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars
($925,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal in
Mackenzie I/I Reduction (Resurrection Cemetery, Wehner Park, Kenrick Seminary, and Nerinx
Hall) (12336) in the Cities of Marlborough, Shrewsbury, Webster Groves, and Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21828 with Fred
M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for said private I/I removal is Seven Hundred Eighty-One
Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars ($781,922.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Forty-Three Thousand Seventy-Eight
Dollars ($143,078.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars
($925,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for private I/I
removal in Mackenzie I/I Reduction (Resurrection Cemetery, Wehner Park, Kenrick Seminary,
and Nerinx Hall) (12336) in the Cities of Marlborough, Shrewsbury, Webster Groves, and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and
conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21828 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal in Mackenzie I/I Reduction (Resurrection Cemetery, Wehner Park, Kenrick Seminary,
and Nerinx Hall) (12336) in the Cities of Marlborough, Shrewsbury, Webster Groves, and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 14th day of August,
2019.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on October 10, 2019.
