AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Six Hundred Forty Thousand
Dollars ($1,640,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Upper Maline Trunk Sanitary Relief Phase IV Section C Public I/I Reduction
(12247) in the City of Ferguson, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No.
21848 with SAK Construction, LLC for the aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is One Million Five
Hundred Sixty-Three Thousand Six Hundred Fifty and 13/100 Dollars ($1,563,650.13) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seventy-Six Thousand
Three Hundred Forty-Nine and 87/100 Dollars ($76,349.87); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Six Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars
($1,640,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Upper Maline Trunk Sanitary Relief Phase IV Section C Public I/I Reduction
(12247) in the City of Ferguson, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and
conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21848 with SAK Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Upper Maline Trunk Sanitary Relief Phase IV Section C Public I/I Reduction
(12247) in the City of Ferguson, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 25th day of October,
2019.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on December 12, 2019.
