WHEREAS, the adoption of Resolution No. 3545 will exercise option year one
(1) of the contract previously authorized by Ordinance No. 15032, adopted October 11, 2018,
which authorized the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Milliman, Inc. (Milliman), whereby
Milliman will provide actuarial services for the District's Pension Plan, Defined Contribution
Plan, Deferred Compensation Plan, accrued sick leave program, vacation accrual, GASB 67 and
GASB 68 Pension Accounting Reporting, GASB 75 OPEB Reporting, and consultant services.
WHEREAS, said contract provided for an initial term of one (1) year with four
(4) additional one (1) year renewal terms at the option of the District; and
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District desires to exercise its first
(1st) of four (4) option years to renew said contract for an additional one (1) year term.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT THAT, the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to exercise the District’s option to renew for the first one-year renewal term the contract
with Milliman, whereby Milliman will provide actuarial services for the District's Pension Plan,
Defined Contribution Plan, Deferred Compensation Plan, accrued sick leave program, vacation
accrual, GASB 67 and GASB 68 Pension Accounting Reporting, GASB 75 OPEB Reporting,
and consultant services on behalf of the District, said contract renewal shall be comprised of such
other terms and conditions as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted on October 10, 2019.
