AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nine Hundred Eighty-five
Thousand Dollars ($985,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-13 Creve
Coeur Creek Sanitary Relief (SKME-023) (89131), in St. Louis County,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
XL Contracting, Inc., Ltd. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is
Nine Hundred Thirty-three Thousand Four Hundred Fifty-one Dollars
($933,451.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other
project expenses is Fifty-one Thousand Five Hundred Forty-nine Dollars
($51,549.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Eighty-five Thousand
Dollars ($985,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-
13 Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Relief (SKME-023) (89131), in St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc., Ltd. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-13 Creve Coeur Creek
Sanitary Relief (SKME-023) (89131), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 6th day of April, 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 14, 2007.
