AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventy-eight Thousand Dollars
($78,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement to be used for project costs for the
rehabilitation of manholes in University Place - Tulane Avenue Separate Sewer
Area I/I Reduction (2004069A), in the City of University City, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Ace Pipe
Cleaning, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid manholes.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said manholes is
Seventy Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-five Dollars ($70,375.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seven
Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-five Dollars (7,625.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventy-eight Thousand Dollars
($78,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement to be used
for project costs for the rehabilitation of manholes in University Place - Tulane
Avenue Separate Sewer Area I/I Reduction (2004069A), in the City of
University City, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Ace Pipe Cleaning, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the rehabilitation of manholes in University Place - Tulane Avenue
Separate Sewer Area I/I Reduction (2004069A), in the City of University City,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of April 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 14, 2007.
