HomeMy Public PortalAbout10090 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10090 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,700,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Mattese Creek Sanitary Relief Phase I (90024A), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Four Hundred One Thousand Eight Hundred Seventeen Dollars ($1,401,817.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred Ninety-eight Thousand One Hundred Eighty-three Dollars ($298,183.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,700,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Mattese Creek Sanitary Relief Phase I (90024A), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Mattese Creek Sanitary Relief Phase I (90024A), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 1st day of May, 1997. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 8, 1997.
