HomeMy Public PortalAbout10092 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10092 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($490,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section D (I-70 to Guthrie) Phase I (91094A), in the City of Woodson Terrace, Missouri and at St. Louis International Airport; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Four Hundred Sixty-six Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-eight and 65/100 Dollars ($466,338.65), and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-three Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-one and 35/100 ($23,661.35), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars ($490,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section D (I-70 to Guthrie) Phase I (91094A), in the City of Woodson Terrace, Missouri and at St. Louis International Airport. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Coldwater Creek Sanitary Relief Section D (I-70 to Guthrie) Phase I (91094A), in the City of Woodson Terrace, Missouri and at St. Louis International Airport, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 5th day of May, 1997. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 8, 1997.
