AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Twenty-seven Thousand Dollars
($327,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Windsor Springs Sanitary Interceptor Phase I (90127A), in the Cities of Sunset Hills
and Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility
Co. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Three
Hundred Eleven Thousand Three Hundred Sixty Dollars ($311,360.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders is Fifteen Thousand Six Hundred Forty Dollars ($15,640.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Twenty-seven Thousand Dollars
($327,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Windsor Springs Sanitary Interceptor Phase I (90127A), in
the Cities of Sunset Hills and Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Bates Utility Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction
of sanitary sewers in Windsor Springs Sanitary Interceptor Phase I (90127A), in the Cities of
Sunset Hills and Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 2nd day of
May, 1997.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 8, 1997.
