AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Clayton Central to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in East Clayton Central Sewer Phase V-B
(94053B), in the City of Clayton, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with JRW Construction, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Nine Hundred
Fifty-two Thousand One Hundred Fifty-eight and 67/100 Dollars ($952,158.67), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Forty-seven Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-one
and 33/100 Dollars ($47,841.33), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Clayton
Central to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in East Clayton
Central Sewer Phase V-B (94053B), in the City of Clayton, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
JRW Construction, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers
in East Clayton Central Sewer Phase V-B (94053B), in the City of Clayton, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 29th day of April, 1997.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 12, 1997.
