AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Thirty-nine Thousand Dollars
($239,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction
of sanitary sewers in Subdistrict No. 94105 (Tescord Drive Sanitary Sewer) 94105, in St.
Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Budrovich
Excavating Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Hundred
Sixty-nine Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-one Dollars ($169,691.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders is Thirty-nine Thousand Three Hundred Nine ($39,309.00), and
cost of processing and administration of tax bills is Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00),
and
WHEREAS, proceedings have been taken for the construction of sanitary sewers
in Subdistrict No. 94105 (Tescord Drive Sanitary Sewer), and Two Hundred Thirty-nine
Thousand Dollars ($239,000.00) of said construction costs will be paid for by special tax bills
or other evidence of special benefit assessments upon the land benefited by such
improvement.
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Thirty-nine Thousand Dollars
($239,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Subdistrict No. 94105 (Tescord Drive Sanitary
Sewer) 94105, in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Budrovich Excavating Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Subdistrict No. 94105 (Tescord Drive Sanitary Sewer) 94105, in St. Louis County,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 9th day of June, 1997.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 10, 1997.
