HomeMy Public PortalAbout10138 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10138 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Forty-five Thousand Dollars ($145,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Harrison- Brentwood Relief Sewers Phase III (94052C), in the City of Brentwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Hundred Thirty-five Thousand One Hundred Seventy-six Dollars ($135,176.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-four Dollars ($9,824.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Forty-five Thousand Dollars ($145,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Harrison-Brentwood Relief Sewers Phase III (94052C), in the City of Brentwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Co. Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Harrison-Brentwood Relief Sewers Phase III (94052C), in the City of Brentwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 29th day of May, 1997. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 12, 1997.
