AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($450,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Lower River des Peres (L-03G) Stormwater
Outfalls (93038G), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Shuster Engineering, Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Stormwater Outfalls is Four
Hundred Twenty-one Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($421,300.00), and the allowance for
change orders is Twenty-eight Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($28,700.00).
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($450,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for
the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Lower River des Peres (L-03G) Stormwater
Outfalls (93038G), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Shuster Engineering, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the Lemay
Service Area ORS Lower River des Peres (L-03G) Stormwater Outfalls (93038G), in the City
of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th day of May, 1997.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 10, 1997.
