AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars
($290,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
Lemay Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres Procurement of Slide Gates and Actuators
(L-06A1, 94065A1), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Whipps Incorporated for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the Procurement of Slide Gates and Actuators is Two
Hundred Seventy-one Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-two Dollars ($271,952.00), and the
allowance for change orders is Eighteen Thousand Forty-eight Dollars ($18,048.00).
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Ninety Thousand Dollars
($290,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the Lemay Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres Procurement of Slide
Gates and Actuators (L-06A1, 94065A1), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Whipps Incorporated as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the Lemay
Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres Procurement of Slide Gates and Actuators (L-
06A1, 94065A1), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 5th day of June, 1997.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 10, 1997.
