AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars
($610,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres (L-07A) Lining of
Sewers with Shotcrete - Phase I (94064A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Coastal Gunite Construction Co. for the aforesaid
construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Middle River des Peres Shotcrete
Lining is Five Hundred Seventy-eight Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($578,200.00) and the
allowance for change orders is Thirty-one Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($31,800.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($610,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres (L-07A) Lining of
Sewers with Shotcrete - Phase I (94064A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Coastal Gunite Construction Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the
Lemay Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres (L-07A) Lining of Sewers with Shotcrete -
Phase I (94064A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened
on the 24th day of June, 1997.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 14, 1997.
