HomeMy Public PortalAbout10164 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10164 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,700,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres (L-05A), Foulwater Interceptor-Section A (94063A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Co., Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Foulwater Interceptor - Section A is Three Million Four Hundred Ninety-four Thousand One Hundred Forty-nine Dollars ($3,494,149.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred Five Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-one Dollars ($205,851.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,700,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres (L- 05A), Foulwater Interceptor-Section A (94063A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Middle River des Peres (L-05A) Foulwater Interceptor - Section A (96063A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of June, 1997. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 14, 1997.
