AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,250,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the
University City Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of
storm and sanitary sewers in Archer-Braddock-Coolidge-Grant Storm Channel UR-06 Upper
River des Peres Sanitary Relief Phase I (91000), in the City of University City, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Mulligan Construction, Inc. for the
construction of the aforesaid storm and sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm and sanitary sewers is
One Million One Hundred Seventy-seven Thousand Four Hundred Forty-five Dollars
($1,177,445.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Seventy-two Thousand
Five Hundred Fifty-five Dollars ($72,555.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,250,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River des Peres to be used for project
costs for the construction of storm and sanitary sewers in Archer-Braddock-Coolidge-Grant
Storm Channel UR-06 Upper River des Peres Sanitary Relief Phase I (91000), in the City of
University City, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Mulligan Construction, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm and
sanitary sewers in Archer-Braddock-Coolidge-Grant Storm Channel UR-06 Upper River des
Peres Sanitary Relief Phase I (91000), in the City of University City, Missouri, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 2nd day of July, 1997.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 14, 1997.
