AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to execute Easement Deeds granting two
easements to the City of Valley Park, Missouri in conjunction with the construction of a levee
on the Meramec River to protect said City from flooding.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN
ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to execute Easement Deeds
granting two easements to the City of Valley Park, Missouri in conjunction with the
construction of a levee on the Meramec River to protect said City from flooding, said
easements more particularly described as follows:
EASEMENT 1
Commencing at an iron pipe, at the intersection of the north line of St. Louis Ave. (60
foot wide) and the southwest corner of a tract of land owned by The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District as recorded in Deed Book 7525 Page 981 of the St. Louis
County Records; thence North 01 degrees 02 minutes 23 seconds East, 536.97 feet
to a point; thence North 00 degrees 16 minutes 26 seconds West, 149.32 feet to a
point, the Point of Beginning (POB); thence North 00 degrees 16 minutes 26 seconds
West, 100.00 feet to a point; thence North 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East,
115.73 feet to a point, in the east line of a tract of land owned by The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District as recorded in Deed Book 7542 Page 931 in the St. Louis County
Recorder's Office; thence South 01 degrees 02 minutes 23 seconds West, 100.02 feet
to a point; thence North 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West, 113.44 feet to the
Point of Beginning, containing 11.458.66 square feet or 0.26 acres more or less, and
all being in the City of Valley Park, Missouri.
EASEMENT 2
Commencing at an iron pipe, at the intersection of the north line of St. Louis Ave. (60
foot wide) and the southwest corner of a tract of land owned by The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District as recorded in Deed Book 7525 Page 981 of the St. Louis
County Records; thence North 01 degrees 02 minutes 23 seconds East, 227.65 feet
to a point, the Point of Beginning (POB); thence North 01 degrees 02 minutes 23
seconds East, 26.31 feet to a point; thence North 81 degrees 19 minutes 01 seconds
East, 36.45 feet to a point; thence South 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East,
214.70 feet to a point; thence North 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West, 31.92
feet to a point; thence North 04 degrees 53 minutes 45 seconds East, 129.67 feet to
a point; thence North 16 degrees 31 minutes 07 seconds West, 55.96 feet to the Point
of Beginning, containing 6.015.96 square feet or 0.14 acres more or less, and all
being in the City of Valley Park, Missouri.
Section Two. The Easement Deeds as authorized in Section One of this
ordinance shall be comprised of such terms and conditions as are approved by the office of
the General Counsel of the District.
