HomeMy Public PortalAbout10181 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10181 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Three Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($1,320,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Missouri River Treatment Plant Sludge Dewatering Improvements (96063), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Goodwin Bros. Construction Co. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Sludge Dewatering Improvements is One Million Two Hundred Fifty-six Thousand Dollars ($1,256,000.00) and the allowance for change orders is Sixty-four Thousand Dollars ($64,000.00). WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Three Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($1,320,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Missouri River Treatment Plant Sludge Dewatering Improvements (96063), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Goodwin Bros. Construction Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the Missouri River Treatment Plant Sludge Dewatering Improvements (96063), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th day of July 1997. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 11, 1997.
